Izakaya Tenzo is a single room on Bedford Avenue, run the way an izakaya is meant to be run. No dress code, no set courses, no rush to turn the table. You order in rounds, the kitchen keeps pace, and the evening finds its own length.

A good part of the room is held for people who did not plan ahead. Turn up, give your name, and we will find you something. Weekends after seven are the busiest stretch if you would rather avoid a wait.
